3D modeling is the process of developing a mathematical representation of any surface of an object in three dimensions via specialized software. Applied to industrial design, it is the creation of a parametric computer model of a product, which gives a complete picture of the product design. Then it can be used to create design documentation, prototyping, product animation, visualization (rendering). Using CAD – computer-aided design systems such as Solidworks – it is possible to 3D design parts and assemblies of any degree of complexity, taking into account the specifics of manufacturing. For various tasks of modeling and rendering, 3D editors are used – Blender, 3ds Max and others.
